Surface Finishing Options

Anodizing

Anodizing is a surface treatment process widely applied to metals such as aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and their alloys. It involves forming an oxide film on the metal surface through an electrochemical method. In this process, the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloys is transformed into a strong and durable oxide layer. This oxide film provides protective, decorative, corrosion-resistant, and other functional properties.

During anodizing, the metal (e.g., aluminum) is used as the anode and immersed in an electrolyte solution. When an electric current is applied, oxidation occurs at the anode, resulting in the formation of a dense oxide film—such as aluminum oxide—on the metal surface. This layer significantly alters the surface properties of the material, enabling coloring, enhanced corrosion resistance, improved wear resistance and hardness, and effective protection of the underlying metal.

Chrome & Galvanized

Chrome plating is a process in which a layer of chromium is deposited onto the surface of a base metal through electroplating or other methods such as chemical plating or physical vapor deposition. The resulting chromium layer offers excellent wear resistance and a distinctive metallic luster.

Zinc plating or galvanized is a surface treatment technology that deposits a layer of zinc onto the surface of metals, alloys, or other materials through electroplating, hot-dip galvanizing, or other techniques. It is used to achieve corrosion protection, decorative finishes, or other functional enhancements.

Black oxide

Black oxide is a common metal surface treatment process that forms a black oxide film on the surface of a metal through a chemical reaction, with the primary component being Fe₃O₄ (magnetite). This film provides rust protection, aesthetic , and a certain degree of wear resistance. It also offers light reflection reduction and lubricity without significantly altering the dimensions of the part.

TIN &TICN

TiN (Titanium Nitride) is a golden-colored ceramic coating. It is formed by depositing a layer of titanium nitride on the surface of a workpiece through processes such as vacuum evaporation or sputtering, where titanium atoms react with nitrogen gas. Common deposition methods include magnetron sputtering and arc ion plating.

TiCN is a modified ceramic coating based on TiN (Titanium Nitride), formed by introducing carbon into the coating structure. It is typically applied using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) techniques, such as magnetron sputtering or arc ion plating.

DLC&TIALN

DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) is an amorphous carbon film that possesses properties and a structure similar to that of diamond. It is typically deposited onto the surface of a workpiece using PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) or PECVD (Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) techniques. DLC combines the high hardness of diamond with the low friction coefficient of graphite.

TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) is a commonly used high-performance PVD ceramic coating composed of titanium, aluminum, and nitrogen. By incorporating aluminum into the TiN or TiCN matrix, this coating significantly enhances thermal resistance and oxidation stability, making it particularly suitable for high-temperature and high-speed machining environments.
